DESCRIPTION:
The French Bulldog is a compact, sturdy canine with a large square head and a rounded forehead. Their upper lips typically hang down over the lower lips where the teeth meet in an underbite. Their ears stand erect, are broad at the base, and narrow in a triangular shape with rounded tips. Their tail is either straight or corkscrew. Their body is pear-shaped with a broad chest, narrowing towards the back-end. Their medium-fine coat is short and smooth, regular brushings will do. Their skin is loose and can form wrinkles around the head and shoulders.
BREED TEMPERAMENT:
The French Bulldog is a highly alert breed that is very affectionate. They are typically sweet and curious making them a silly breed. Frenchies are a smart breed that get along well with other dogs. They can be a well-trained breed if the owner is firm and patient. It is imperative to correct any improper behavior through a calm yet stern demeanor to avoid loss of control over the dog. French Bulldogs are clean but most will avoid water due to their inability to swim. Frenchies do best with authoritative children that do not make it easy to be walked all over.

LIVING CONDITIONS:
French Bulldogs do well in apartments. Indoors, they can be relatively active and will do just fine without a yard. Extreme temperatures are not ideal for them, making a temperate climate the best environment.
