DESCRIPTION:
The English Bulldog is a medium-sized compact dog. They tend to have large blocked heads that look flat in the front. Extra skin usually lingers around the face giving them sag-like features. They typically have a dark nose and deep-set eyes with thin ears that sit high on their heads. The breed has a massive jaw with an underbite and hanging upper lips. The English Bulldog has a short, flat coat that is smooth and typically glossy. Their loose-joint features allow then to be extremely flexible and complete athletic tasks with ease and minimal risk of injury.
BREED TEMPERAMENT:
English Bulldogs can be described as the best guard dogs. The breed is courageous when it comes to protecting their family and territory. They were once used to fight bulls which resulted in an initially aggressive breed. The breed has been recently accepted as a gentle breed and has even proven to be patient and gentle around children. Bulldogs are attention-seekers and very affectionate towards their owner, however receiving plenty of attention is imperative to their happiness. They are eager to please and rely on plenty of positive reinforcement. English bulldogs do well with other family pets and exhibit high levels of energy as puppies. They have tendencies to snore, be messy eaters, and often slobber.

LIVING CONDITIONS:
The English Bulldog does well in apartment life. They are not necessarily the most active breed and will do fine without a yard.
